There are only two books (that I know of) about the Red Cross during the Holocaust. Please, someone, pick this up as a dissertation topic, because there is SO much there. This is an accounting of how the Commission Mixte of the Red Cross spent $100,000 from the Joint. In other documents, they get more specific, down to the number of units of insulin they purchased, and how many cases of tinned meat. It’s pretty amazing. Relief packages–that’s another dissertation topic for someone.
