It’s been really interesting to read letters written to the WRB by members of the public. Some just want information, some complain about the idea of refugees coming into the US, but most people just write to express their support for the WRB’s activities to assist Jews and other persecuted minorities. This is a particularly interesting letter–and apparently, the WRB thought so too, since this is their press release about it. Harry Rogers of Dove Creek, CO, sent the WRB a check to support their activities and offered space on his farm for refugee families.
After this press release made the newspapers, one particularly intrepid man with family in Europe wrote to the WRB to ask for Mr. Rogers’s address, which the WRB provided. A few weeks later, Harry Rogers wrote again to say that he had been in touch with this man, and wished to sponsor the man’s family to come from Europe and live on the farm in Dove Creek. Unfortunately, so far I haven’t found any evidence it happened.
