This is a letter from Ira Hirschmann, the Board’s rep in Turkey, to Judah Magnes of Hebrew University (and a very prominent Rabbi).  Hirschmann was a self-promoter–epically, totally, always. In this letter to Magnes, he talks all about his important triumphs in Turkey, while imploring Magnes to keep everything confidential.  (Hypocritically, the exact same day, Hirschmann sent a cable to the WRB warning them not to tell anyone anything about his activities, since it might doom them. But it’s clearly okay when he does it.)
